Karen Renee Lee
  Aug.5, 1959-May 6, 2013

Karen Renee Lee was a fun loving and outgoing woman who was always full of energy. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She was a graduate of West Phila. High School where she was affectionately known as “ Goodie “ and continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

After school Karen moved to Hawaii for several years gave birth to a beautiful daughter Amber and few years later Alexus. She moved back to the states and ultimately joined the Philadelphia Police Academy. Upon graduating from the academy she was assigned to the 22nd Police District were she severed and protected citizens for 16 years.

During the course of 9 years ago Karen was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had immediate surgery and margins were clear continued on life’s journey.  Karen had beat Breast Cancer and continued to live determined and grateful. Last year the cancer came back, she courageously fought a rare form of Breast Cancer to the end. During her journey she remained humble, positive and reassuring family and friends. Karen was a strong advocate for the Breast Cancer movement, walking to support research, awareness and meeting others that were striving for the same cause.

She possessed a quiet charming spirit that touched her classmates, neighbors, co-workers and friends. She will continue to live on through her two daughters, first grandson and countless family and friends. Another angel has received her wings its time to rest my dear friend.
